Apologies, for my absence from this forum for the close of the season, but any United fan would understand the sickness that befell me from the time Everton got their fourth goal at OT.
That we were at some stage 8 points ahead and yet still lost the title is something that will haunt me for a while, and I hope it haunts the players as well. We did so well this past season to put ourselves in a good position and we blew it. I'm not even sure will get 89 points again next season. Fingers crossed that we won't need as many to win it.
This summer should be one of re-building at United so expect to be linked to just about every midfielder on the planet. Eden Hazard seems to be the Wesley Sneijder story for this summer. This blog prefers to let the rumours do the rounds whilst it takes a back seat, and waits for official confirmation of anything.
It's quite a while since we last failed to make a Community Shield appearance, so it will be quite funny that we don't open with it this coming season.
