MANCHESTER UNITED COMMENT!

So while I was away (particularly from blogging) United have risen to the summit of the EPL and also won their Champions League group.

League: After our 7-1 thrashing of Blackburn, we missed a league game at Blackpool because they can't afford under soil heating and we beat one of our rivals for the title---Arsenal. Sunday presents us with an opportunity to stamp our authority over the title race---whether we take it is still an unsettled question.

Europe: We won our group albeit after surrendering our defensive record at home to Valencia so we can look forward to a kind draw tomorrow. Don't cross your fingers because we've topped it twice in a row and look what we got last season and the season before last.

Cup: We still have the FA Cup to look forward to come January but a fairly strong side capitulated at Upton Park and saw us dumped out. I mean it's hard to remember the last time we lost 4-0!

Park: He must be doing something right! Too bad he's got to go for the Asian Cup.

Rooney: Instrumental in all our victories since his return but he can't buy a goal. Poor penalty against Arsenal and he must be the most relieved that Le Arse didn't make us pay.

It's Chelsea in the league on Sunday and I hope the players play with the same bitterness they had when the rent boys pipped us to the title by a point!
