Without elaborating much, Manchester United have undoubtedly been handed a tough group! It's not in the mould of established European heavyweights (save for United itself) but more like the one we were handed in 2005 when we finished bottom of the group!
I mean you look around for a six pointer in the group you're only confident about Besiktas--who are the Turkish Champions. These guys are still difficult to beat in Turkey.
CSKA Moscow are usually in the Champions League group stages so we all know about what they are capable of. Wolfsburg might need some introduction but they are the German Champions which tells you that they might know one or two things about putting points in the bag.
Make no mistake about it, United have the ability to cruise in this group, but the other element that could affect even our domestic campaign is the long journeys the team will have to make. For instance we go to Moscow in the middle of a week that concludes with a league game at Anfield.
Good though that we will be making a return to the scene of our historic triumph in 2008--the Luzhniki Stadium!
