RONALDO PLEDGES PROFESSIONALISM--WAS THERE REALLY ANY DOUBT?

After securing the services of Dimitar Berbatov, we can now say that Mr. CR7 has a merchandise competitor at Old Trafford. The soon to be named World Player Of the Year has had his fair dominance in terms of shirt and merchandise sales at OT. Ronaldo should be clever enough to realise that 'this competitor' will also take the lion's share of the fans' chants--something that he has also dominated at the Theater of Dreams for the past 2 seasons. After pledging his short-term future to United, the media went about spilling comments that he was not going to be as committed to United as before given that his desire to leave was not granted. For the second time since committing to United, Ronaldo has made it clear for all that he will honour the Manchester United shirt as always and give his all on pitch. If ever there was one player who thrived on competition, it's got to be this Madeira magician. He claims that his desire to leave United for Real was because he had won all there was to win for United. One gets the feeling that he only wanted to depart because there was nothing left to compete for at United. He also makes it clear that he wouldn't have desired a transfer if we had lost the Champions League final. Ronaldo will be fueled by the arrival of Berbatov to re-reinstate himself as the most important player at United. He will also want to maintain his value and status as he makes his entrance into the Bernabeau. United might just see a better Ronaldo this season. FRIGHTENING!
