Manchester United midfield jewel Michael Carrick, has declared his love for taking penalty kicks for United. The stats show that the England midfielder has a 100% record from the penalty spot. He scored against Petr Cech in last season's Community Shield, repeated the feat in Moscow, scored in the pre-season victory against Aberdeen and then found the net again on Sunday in the shoot-out against Pompey. Personally, I'd already backed Carrick to take over penalty duty during the summer(when Ronaldo's depature to Real was inevitable.) I prefer his calmness in front of goal to Ronaldo's puffed chicks when on facing the keeper from 12 yards. I would bet my only United jersey that Carrick can score a penalty in the last minute of a Champions League final with the score at 0-0. How many can bet that Ronaldo would in similar circumstances?
